Secret Cat 8.0

Secret Cat version 8.0 was approved by Apple last week.

To ensure new and future iOS compatibility, this update is recommended for all Secret Cat users. Please, copy or save irreplaceable secrets to another device or external storage before updating your Secret Cat or iOS version, so your secrets will not be lost if something goes wrong.

Following are changes to Secret Cat:

• New: Significantly increased available secret text font sizes, by user request.
• Changed: Secrets are no longer uniquely keyed to a single device, to allow backup and restore of the app to a different authorized device, and to maintain compatibility with future iOS versions. Pre-existing secrets must be unlocked at least once in this version before the new feature becomes active.
• Changed: Default and custom backgrounds are sized to fit the larger 4-inch screens on newer devices.
• Changed: Rotation is locked to profile-only for iOS 6 compatibility.
• Miscellaneous cosmetic display changes for iOS 6 compatibility.

Version 7.0 of Secret Cat available

Version 7.0 of Secret Cat has been approved by is and available for download from the App Store. Following are the changes:

NEW  FEATURE: Transfer single or multiple text or image secrets over Wi-Fi to another device.

FIXED: Incompatibility with iOS 5.x which caused a crash when selecting a custom background.

FIXED: Incompatibility with later iOS versions where secret image pictures taken at 180 degrees would remain upside-down.

Version 6.0 of Secret Cat now available

The version 6.0 update of Secret Cat app for iOS (iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad) has been approved and is available for download.  This is a major recommended update including fixes for new iOS 5 issues.

Secret Cat 6.0 submitted to App Store

Version 6.0 update of Secret Cat has been submitted to the App Store. . It may take somewhat longer than the usual 4-7 days to approve, although it should be available before the iTunes holiday shutdown, which begins on December 22nd for one week.

NEW: Ability to take photos directly into secret images, by user request.

NEW: Ability to change titles of existing text notes and images.

NEW: Add option button to text page display (email, change title, delete).

FIXED: Several issues with some iOS 5 devices which had problems selecting images and choosing Secret Cat patterns.

FIXED: Issue in some iOS versions where saved secret image pictures could be rotated.

FIXED: Cosmetic text prompt issues and memory leaks.

Secret Cat version 5.5 now available

Version 5.5 of Secret Cat has been approved by the App Store and is now available for download.

Recapping the changes of this update:

• By user request, a Search option was added to allow searching through all secret text page content and displaying the results.


• The export to Facebook notes option was temporarily disabled, pending final permission changes.

The version 5.5 update of Secret Cat was submitted to the App Store today. It should be available for download in a few days. Changes are as follows:

Secret Cat 5.1 update available for download

The Secret Cat 5.1 update is now available for download from the App Store. It has the following changes:

• Added the ability to set Secret text color and background by user request.
• Added ability to swipe to delete text and images by user request.
• Fixed a problem with later version devices where the save on terminate option wasn’t always working properly.
• Fixed several memory leaks.
